A Christmas ad so popular, it became a live musical for kids.


Every year Portuguese kids wait anxiously for Continent’s Christmas ad. It always stars Popota, a hippopotamus that has been the brand’s mascot for more than 10 years.

In our spot, we illustrate Popota’s artistic journey until she becomes the diva we all know of today. It ended up being most-seen ad of the year, in Portuguese media rankings.

The ad was so popular, it was adapted to a live musical. Popota was on tour during the month of December putting on shows in 46 different locations.
